{"id":376,"date":"2018-06-01T02:41:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T02:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kazibari.com\/website_7dc4621b\/?p=376"},"modified":"2025-05-31T02:42:32","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T02:42:32","slug":"sober-man-charged-with-dui-even-after-he-has-a-000-bac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kazibari.com\/website_7dc4621b\/sober-man-charged-with-dui-even-after-he-has-a-000-bac\/","title":{"rendered":"Sober man Charged with DUI even after he has a .000 BAC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"\">A sober man was arrested for a DUI in Arizona even though he had 0.000 blood-alcohol content, it was reported by ABC News 15 in Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"370\" height=\"250\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/kazibari.com\/website_7dc4621b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/alcohol-drink-and-keys-AdobeStock_12389016.jpeg?resize=370%2C250&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Car keys and a drink\" class=\"wp-image-377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/kazibari.com\/website_7dc4621b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/alcohol-drink-and-keys-AdobeStock_12389016.jpeg?w=370&amp;ssl=1 370w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/kazibari.com\/website_7dc4621b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/alcohol-drink-and-keys-AdobeStock_12389016.jpeg?resize=300%2C203&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jessie Thornton, 64, of Surprise, Ariz., was pulled over by police said that the cops told him that he was drunk just by looking at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;An officer walked up and he said &#8216;I can tell you\u2019re driving DUI by looking in your eyes.&#8217; I take my glasses off and he says, \u2018You\u2019ve got bloodshot eyes,&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">When other police arrived, Thornton blew a 0.000.&nbsp; The police said he&nbsp;needed to&nbsp;be evaluated for drug use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;Yes, I do the breathalyzer and it comes back zero, zero, zero,&#8221; Mr. Thornton added<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Thornton said that he was placed in handcuffs and was told to sit on the curb.&nbsp; The police did not appear to notice that the 64 year old had&nbsp;hip and knee problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI couldn\u2019t even sit on the ground like that and they knew it and I was like laying on the ground, then they put me in the back of an SUV and when I asked the officer to move her seat up \u2019cause my hip hurt she told me to stop whining,\u201d said Thornton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mr. Thornton then told ABC news that &nbsp;\u201cI then get this message that my license is being suspended and I have to take some sort of drinking class or something.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Police then informed him that his car was impounded and a DUI charge was filed against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Thornton told the station that a late-night swim at LA Fitness might have the reason why he was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">However, he believes the DUI arrest and the ten other times he has been stopped were motivated by racial profiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;It was driving while black,\u201d he said, adding: \u201cI just don\u2019t want any of this to happen to somebody else,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sober man was arrested for a DUI in Arizona even though he had 0.000 blood-alcohol content, it was reported [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"nf_dc_page":"","om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[40],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-376","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-dui-lawyer"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
