\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Here are the things to know about Fairfax courts right now as of March 25, 2020:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>If a party to a case is NOT in jail<\/strong>&nbsp;awaiting a hearing &#8212;<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/d11upr8lrcn9x7.cloudfront.net\/www.novaattorneys.com\/s3fs-public\/inline-images\/inside%20court.jpg?resize=374%2C281&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"374\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The courts are not hearing any&nbsp;trials for criminal or traffic cases&nbsp;in Fairfax General District Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The courts are not hearing any&nbsp;civil trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">However, the Fairfax County General District Court and the Fairfax County Circuit Court&nbsp;are hearing motions concerning criminal defendants who are incarcerated or who have been recently arrested and in jail and cannot be released on bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So if you have a friend of loved one in jail or who has been arrested and taken to jail, it is possible to get a hearing before a judge of the Fairfax General District Court or the Fairfax County Circuit Court.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Additionally, the courts are accepting Motions to Reconsider<\/strong>&nbsp;if you have a friend or loved one who has already been sentenced to a criminal or traffic offense and is sitting in a jail cell&nbsp;in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.&nbsp; However there is no guarantee that the person who is serving a sentence on a criminal misdemeanor will be released at the hearing on the Motion to Reconsider, but
